RESERVATION DEPOSIT & PAYMENT  

A non-refundable reservation deposit of $1,000 USD is required to reserve a puppy from Desert Haven Chihuahuas.  

The reservation deposit: 

• Holds the selected puppy exclusively for the Buyer. 

• Removes the puppy from public availability. 

• Is applied toward the final purchase price.  

The remaining balance must be paid before or at the time the puppy leaves the breeder’s care unless otherwise agreed in writing.  Accepted payment methods include: • Zelle • Facebook Pay • Cash App • PayPal (Friends & Family) • Cash  

Additional payment arrangements may be approved at the breeder’s discretion.

 HEALTH GUARANTEE  

All breeding dogs used in the Desert Haven program are Embark Veterinary tested.  Puppies receive age-appropriate veterinary care prior to placement and will leave with available health and vaccination records.  

Desert Haven AKC Chihuahuas provides a one-year genetic guarantee against life-threatening hereditary defects.  The Buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian shortly after placement (within 30d) and to establish ongoing veterinary care.  Any health concerns must be reported promptly and supported by veterinary documentation when applicable.  

TRANSPORTATION & DELIVERY  

Available delivery options include:  

• Pickup at the breeder’s home 

• Airport meet-up 

• Puppy nanny service 

• Approved transportation arrangements for unaccompanied air shipping

Transportation fees are the responsibility of the Buyer unless otherwise agreed in writing.  Pickup and delivery arrangements must be scheduled in advance. Any remaining balance must be paid before the puppy leaves the care of Desert Haven AKC Chihuahuas.  

BUYER RESPONSIBILITIES  

The Buyer agrees to:  

• Provide appropriate food, shelter, clean living conditions, and fresh water. 

• Maintain routine veterinary care and preventative healthcare. 

• Provide proper socialization, supervision, and training. 

• Treat the puppy as a valued family companion.

 • Comply with all local laws and regulations regarding pet ownership.

 FIRST RIGHT OF RETURN  

If circumstances change and the Buyer is no longer able to keep the puppy at any point during its life, Desert Haven AKC Chihuahuas must be contacted immediately.  The Buyer agrees that the puppy will not be surrendered to a shelter, rescue, broker, pet store, research facility, or other third party without first contacting Desert Haven.  Desert Haven maintains First Right of Return on every puppy and adult dog it places and will always assist in ensuring a safe and appropriate placement.  

BUYER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
