Reservation Deposit:
A reservation deposit will be required to hold a selected puppy. The deposit amount of $1000.00 USD, reserves the puppy exclusively for the buyer, removes the puppy from public availability and is applied toward the final purchase price. Additional terms regarding deposits and payments will be provided prior to reservation confirmation.
Buyer Acknowledgement:
By signing this agreement, the Buyer confirms that they have reviewed and accepted the policies, procedures, and responsibilities associated with adopting a Chihuahua puppy from Desert Haven AKC Chihuahuas breeder.
Health Information:
All our AKC parents are fully Embark Veterinary tested. Our puppies receive age-appropriate veterinary care before placement and are provided with available health records at the time of sale. The Buyer agrees to schedule an examination with a licensed veterinarian shortly after receiving the puppy to establish ongoing veterinary care. Any health concerns should be communicated promptly and supported by appropriate veterinary documentation when applicable. Health-related inquiries are reviewed individually and in accordance with the sales agreement. We offer a one year genetic guarantee on all our puppies from life threatening genetic defects and this contract also shows the buyer acknowledges being offered copies of the results of the parent dogs genetic testing.
Transportation & Delivery:
When transportation services are requested:
Transportation fees are generally the responsibility of the Buyer. Transportation schedules depend on location, weather conditions, and carrier availability. Travel arrangements will be coordinated before puppy leaves. Estimated delivery information will be provided when available. For personal pickup:
Pickup appointments must be scheduled in advance. Remaining balances, if applicable, must be completed before the puppy leaves our care.
Buyer Responsibilities:
The Buyer agrees to provide responsible care throughout the puppy's life, including but not limited to, appropriate food and fresh water, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, safe and clean living conditions, routine veterinary care, preventive healthcare as recommended by a veterinarian, training, socialization, and supervision.
Return & Rehoming Assistance:
If circumstances change and the Buyer can no longer care for the puppy, we encourage immediate communication. We offer a FIRST RIGHT OF RETURN on all puppies and adults we place. We can always offer a safe place for every life we create.
